Mercury Associates Welcomes Former Atlanta Fleet Director, Dale Fambrough to our Consulting Team

Mercury is pleased to welcome Dale Fambrough to our consulting team as a senior consultant. Dale brings over 35 years of experience in fleet and transportation management, including 21 years in the US Army. Dale began his career as a diesel and ground support equipment mechanic and then served as a Fleet Maintenance Management Officer at several base locations in the US and abroad. He retired from the Army in 2004 after returning from the Iraq War. Dale started his post-military career with FedEx Corporation serving as Senior Manager of Pickup & Delivery Maintenance and Regional Maintenance and Safety Manager. He then spent several years in student transportation as General Manager of Fleet Services for the Palm Beach School District and the Transportation Fleet Director for Atlanta Public Schools.

Prior to joining Mercury, Dale held positions with the City of Atlanta Fleet Services Department as Director and Program Management Officer, and then served as the Interim Deputy Commissioner for the City’s Public Works Department managing Fleet and Solid Waste Services. During his tenure with the City, Dale was responsible for of all facets of managing a 5,600-unit fleet, ranging from diesel trucks to patrol cars and motorcycles.

Dale holds a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Degree in Human Resources Management from Troy University, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Certification for National Incident Command System, and several other certifications.
