Fire Authorities Engage Mercury to Assess Fleet Management

The Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority Fire Garage Consortium, formerly Puget Sound Fire Garage, has selected Mercury Associates to conduct an assessment of their fleet management and maintenance practices and to develop a roadmap to ensure continued success as the organization continues to evolve. The Consortium is “a collective group of local fire agencies that have all come together to build a maintenance provider that can cost share and manage resources to provide a better product.” The Consortium provides fleet management and maintenance and repair support to the group’s vehicles, fire apparatus, trailers, and other equipment with both fixed fleet maintenance facility locations and mobile repair services. The Puget Sound Region is a coastal area of the Pacific Northwest in the state of Washington.

Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue has also engaged Mercury to conduct a similar fleet management and maintenance practices assessment for the same purpose. The organization consists of ten fire station locations that provide fire and emergency medical services to the unincorporated portions of Kitsap County, Washington, including the community of Silverdale and the City of Bremerton.
