Port Authority of New York and New Jersey

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey selected Mercury, in association with CGS Management Consultants LLC, to conduct an operations analysis of the Central Automotive Division and to develop a fleet utilization study. The Port Authority operates a fleet of about 3,100 vehicles and pieces of equipment ranging from standard cars and pickups to very specialized, mission critical vehicles such as runway deicers, tunnel wreckers, and aircraft crash-fire rescue trucks. With an annual budget of more than $70 million, the Port Authority fleet are essential to the successful operation of agency facilities including airports, bridges, tunnels, terminals, ports, PATH, and the World Trade Center.
